It has been said that next year will see Kasabian leading at the summer show T in the Park. The concert is due to happen around Kinross during July 9-11, 2010. Two more bandsts will be confirmed as the main bands in the near future. It has not been announced what dates Kasabian will perform. A leading UK music magazine reported that T in the Park is one of Kasabian singer Tom Meighan’s favourite concerts to play live.
He said: “T in the Park holds a special place in our heartsgigs the band looks forward tosaid how much we’d love to play it and now we are confirmed. We are really looking forward to playingperformblinder and it’s going to be amazing for us and for the people there.”
DF Concert managing director Geoff Ellis reported that the band’s live reputation helped them win the much-desired position as festival headliners.
“I’m really pleased that we can tell you one of our leading bands so soon,” Ellis said. “Kasabian astonish me every time I watch them and they’re going to be fantastic headliners. We’ve had lots of fans tell us they want to see Kasabian perform the festival so it’s great to be able to give them an early xmas present!”
A limited quantity of tickets will be available to purchase at the beginning of December 4 at 9am, although the gig’s complete lineup is yet to be decided.
